Born to parents from Lindewiese (Lipova Lazne) in Ingolstadt, Germany, Helmut Hauke showed early promise in both music and drawing, going on to study graphic design and working as a designer, illustrator, copywriter and translator, as well as playing in various bands from the age of 14.
Then – late, finally, transformatively – original pieces started to materialise. Pieces that felt authentic, inspired, musically and lyrically meaningful, and good enough to hold their own against more illustrious “competition”.
Studying ‘Musical Techniques & Composition’ at London’s Birkbeck College produced a body of classical works for piano, choir and strings. But the main oeuvre is a growing catalogue of ‘sophisticated pop’ tunes and (mostly guitar) solo pieces, which from 01.04.2022 are being released one after the other, and eventually as albums. If you like them, please buy them (thanks!). ENJOY!
